I was lucky enough to have Simon Fletcher (no relation) was a mentor when I first started to take poetry seriously. Simon really knows his stuff, from the classics right up to emerging contemporary poets and you can count yourself lucky if you manage to get some time with him. Simon runs workshops through the year, runs and hosts the excellent City Voices in Wolverhampton and has recently started a new press based in Shrewsbury, Offa’s Press, which has just released an anthology of poetry entitled ‘We’re All In This Together’ which features two of my poems.
